Of Frost and Fortune
The small settlement of Loudwater sits on the confluence of both the Delimbiyr and Greyflow rivers. It is said that no matter where one stands in the town, be it inside or out, they can hear the rushing torrent of the joined rivers.
However, within the last month the town has been plagued by frigid winds and an unending snow—the river, for the first time in living memory, has frozen solid.
There is rumor that the settlement of Loudwater was once as large as a city, sprawling with a diverse population of all sorts. For the handful of humans currently living in Loudwater, this is naught but rumor, evidenced only by the ancient stone bridge stretching to the Delimbiyr’s southern banks.
